The Ladies of Art 4
This box was created by Heather Geoffrey as part of the Ladies of Art Collection in Boxes and Wall Hangings.
Designed using the work of Alphonse Mucha. Mucha was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period. He believed that beautiful art improved the quality of life, and he felt it was his duty to promote art for ordinary people, not just the wealthy. From 1895 to 1900 he established himself as the master of the art nouveau poster through series focusing on nature—all with harmonious colors and decorative elements, flowers, and beautiful women in diaphanous gowns.
