              sun streaming, warming
                            lingering at the edges of shoulder, neck, chin, lips, nose, eye, hair
 
absorbed, retained in the richness,
              cherished beat in the blanket of time
 
arms wrapping me in sleep
                           hands fostering the keep of soul’s terrain
As I turn to look upon a face that tended…beheld with such care
